Radio Belmont

A streaming radio station started by Noma Co-Founder, Claus Meyer, and Philip Hoffman, Radio Belmont was created to serve as a direct link between the Brownsville Community Culinary Center and the residents of Brownsville. I was asked to create a logo and creatively direct the radio station.

I wanted to make something that didn't beat around the bush. Typography has always been incredibly important to me, and I wanted to do something that was fun and cool. It was important to me and the head of the radio station that it stood for, not only a radio station, but the neighborhood as well.

It was important to me and the head of the radio station that it stood for, not only a radio station, but the neighborhood as well.

Part of creating something representative of the neighborhood included the fact that this radio station streams remotely from different areas around the neighborhood. So taking the murals that are so well known to the residents, I created an "Identity System", one that gave the logo context within the neighborhood as well as a special meaning.

In addition to the logo, I was also in charge of developing content for the project.

Here is a promotional video I created for our Go Fund Me campaign.
