Norton's appreciation for literary geniuses can be clearly seen in their choice of merchandise.
Given five quotes from different authors, I was asked to interpret the quotes and illustrate visual representations to be placed onto cork coasters.
Above: "She is too fond of books, and it has turned her brain."
- Louisa May Alcott
"A yokel mind loves stories of old / being the kind it can repeat and hold."
- Geoffrey Chaucer
"With freedom, flowers, books, and the moon, who could not be happy?"
- Oscar Wilde
“That perfect tranquility of life, which is nowhere to be found but in retreat, a faithful friend and a good library.”
- Aphra Behn
"I set out with high hope, and a fixed purpose, at whatever cost of trouble, to learn how to read."
Often given a concept and a textbook, I was asked to produce postcards that were distributed by WW Norton representatives to universities across the world to advertise upcoming texts.
This generally led to illustration and copywriting.
